New Salem Baptist Church-Warren County, Georgia

The congregation was founded in 1868. At the moment, I do not have much information. I do have a reference that Reverend Charles Hamilton Holloway served as the pastor prior to 1920.

Sandy Grove AME Church and School, Georgia

This church was formed after the Civil War. The first church building was built in the early 1900s. The one-room school was likely built right after the main church building was built. It’s a rare pre-Rosenwald school that is still standing.

Gospel Aid Christ Community Church and Cemetery-Norwood, Georgia

I don’t know much about the church, based on burials in the cemetery, I would guess this church was founded around 1900.

These appliqué headstones can be seen throughout the state of Georgia.
