Located on Main Street in Gibson, Georgia, this is one of my favorite houses in Glascock County. Brian Brown identified it as the Kelley House.

This Gothic Revival home is located in West Point, Georgia. Built in 1872, it has been home to the Lovelace, Hayes, and Dunn families over the years. It is a contributing property to the Eastside Historic District.

Built in 1854 as a brick Georgian cottage, the Gothic Revival details were added after the Civil War. Atherates and Martha Atkinson raised 14 children in this home.



Built circa 1885, the George Harmon House is a vernacular Gothic Revival home.

Built as a townhouse for John H. Miller in 1858, this Gothic Revival home was also owned by Judge Henry Clinton Russell and John Council Martin. Martin served as Clayton’s mayor from 1926-1930. It was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The congregation started in 1863 as a praise house called “Baptist Church Colored.” The Gothic Revival church was constructed in 1865 by local freedmen. It is a contributing property to the Beaufort Historic District.
