This 1853 Italianate farmhouse is built right on the county line between Spartanburg and Greenville. It is officially claimed by Greenville County. The home still contains all original details.
Notice the Masonic symbol below the roofline. That is an interesting detail to survive over the years.
Tax records indicate this farmhouse with gingerbread details was built in 1890.
This is the view that caught my attention driving down the road. No one else may see this, but I was reminded of one side of the House of Seven Gables.
The Lovetts have businesses that still carry their name and a cemetery less than a mile from where this house stands.
I am unable to locate any history on the house.
