The Gish-Hill House of Corinth, Mississippi

The Gish-Hill House was built in 1922 for James Gish. Gish admired a home in Memphis and wanted a similar home in Corinth. The eclectic home highlights the influences of the Craftsman and American Four Square architectural styles. It is a contributing property to the Corinth Historic District.

Fillmore Street Chapel of Corinth, Mississippi

Built in 1871, the Fillmore Street Chapel is Corinth’s oldest church. It began as the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. From 1906 to 1976, it served as the Fillmore Street Presbyterian Church. It is now a Methodist Church.

It was documented during the Historic American Buildings Survey. The photos below are from the Library of Congress.

Corinth Methodist Church-Corinth, Georgia

Corinth Methodist Church was founded in 1830. The congregation built this church building, their third one, in 1903. The building is now used by a COGIC congregation. It can be rented for special occasions.
