Built in 1927 for $3650, this three-teacher type Rosenwald School is now used as a community center in Ailey, Georgia. Shelton A. Mincey, a delegate to the 1912 and 1920 Republican National Convention, was integral to getting a school built in the rural community of Ailey. An old photo of the school can be seen on Fisk’s Rosenwald database.
