Pasaquan is the creation of artist Eddie Martin, also known as St. EOM. He was born into a family of nine siblings. He escaped to New York to escape his abusive father.
Upon his return to Georgia in 1957, he inherited an 1898 farmhouse and four acres from his mother. He converted the farmhouse and the land to showcase sculpture he made with the help of his friends.
It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. The site is managed by Columbus State University. More information can be read at the SPACES archive.
