Amis-Elder House, Georgia

Crawford, Oglethorpe County

Built around 1805, the Amis-Elder house is a plantation plain house that sits in rural Oglethorpe County. It is one of the oldest homes in the county. the Amis family owned the home until 1867 when it was sold to the Alcock-Elder family.

It was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
