
Information on this church is limited. The oldest burial, according to FindAGrave, was in 1865.

The Hebron Lodge occupies what was once the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Ashland, Georgia. The congregation of Ebenezer was founded in the 1820s. Their first church was on the same plot of land. In 1882 a new church was built by the congregation. It is the one that stands today.
The congregation dissolved in the 1960s. At some point the Hebron Lodge #564 took over the space and now use it as a meeting place.

The Birdie Community was established in 1894 in northwest Spalding County. The Red Oak United Methodist Church was founded in 1871. There isn’t much published history on the church.

Behind the more modern church building is this turn of the century wooden building. I am not certain of it is a church or school, I am leaning more to it being a school based on the doors and windows.

The church seems to still be active. There were some fairly recent burials in the cemetery.




The congregation of the Culverton United Methodist Church was formed in 1881. The current church building was completed in 1911.
The church is no longer active as of 2016.

The Summertown United Methodist Church was built in 1891. This church is a modest example of Carpenter Gothic architecture. The white board and batten are hallmarks of this style.
The church was active until 1995 when the Methodist Conference dissolved the congregation.


Constructed in the early 1890s, Dellwood United Methodist Church served the community of Dellwood for several decades. It was most recently the Son Light Inn. Currently, the church is no longer in use.
